Guitar Hero: On Tour gets a 7/10 from me. The game is great it plays well and it looks good.
Graphics 8/10
The graphics look like you would expect from a DS game, nothing special nothing horrible... The one thing that bothered me was that the hammer ons were kind of hard to tell apart from the normal notes, but other then that the game looks pretty.
Game play 8/10
Game play on the DS guitar hero is just like its older (and much better looking) brother. You play by plugging in a "Guitar grip" into the Gameboy advanced slot. This "Guitar grip" is just the colored frets like on the guitars and it straps onto you hand, so playing is actually possible. The notes come down the screen and you push the corisponding color, and strum a little guitar on your DS screen. To activate star power, which gives you double points, you have to yell in the mic... or push the star power meter... pushing it though is difficult because if its not a tap, you strum and mess up... and the only times I found to activate it were when no notes were coming... this is probably the worst part of the game play.
Challenge 7/10
I found that the songs were easier to play on the DS, only two songs give me trouble on expert and the guitar hero battles are far to easy, I find I'm always winning by a huge difference. The game is still fun, for the same reason guitar heros are though.
Sound 7/10
The song tracklist at first seemed boring... but after awhile I started enjoying more of the songs. It is kind of short with only 25 songs and no bonus songs. It really depends on your taste of music. the songs don't sound as good on the DS, they are quiet and I find my headphones cord gets in the way.
Here is the 26 song tracklist:
(some songs on the list are "secret songs" so they have spoiler tags)
1. Do What You Want
2. All the Small Things
3. Spiderwebs
4. Are You Gonna Be My Girl
5.
6. All Star
7. Breed
8. Jessie's Girl
9. Hit ME With Your Best Shot
10.
11. Heaven

21.I Don't Wanna Stop

Replay Value 8/10
If you like guitar hero games, then you know how its still fun to play the same songs over, its the same on the DS, there is less unlockable stuff but the guitar duels they added on make up for it. Multiplayer is hard to do because it doesn't have WIFI but maybe you can find a friend with the game.
Guitar Hero: On Tour gets a 7/10 In my opinion its not as fun as the other guitar heros, but it gives you what you want Guitar Hero on the go, and its great for trips. It does hurt your hand after awhile, but you get a free guitar pick stylus!!!! ;D
